HISTORY OF THE FOUNDATION

It was set up on 6th September 1995 with the legacy of the painter Eberhard Schlotter as a sign of his appreciation towards Altea, the town where he has resided at various times since 1954 and where he has produced a large part of his artistic work, and thanks to the help given, principally, by the Town Hall of Altea, the Diputation of Alicante, the Valencian Generalitat and other public and private bodies, all of whom form part of the patronage of the Foundation.

The aforementioned legacy consists of more than 1.000 works, amongst them, oil paintings, watercolours, drawings, etchings by the artist.
